ST 1200 Custom Stormtrooper Helmet by Patrick Wong

Canadian artist Patrick Wong reveals his latest custom vinyl figure titled "ST 1200" juxtaposing the iconic Stormtrooper helmet with the music producer's favorite 12-bit sampling drum machine, the Emu Systems SP 1200.

The "ST 1200" was created with a readymade 3.5" floppy disk drive, found floppy disks, handcrafted resin faders, and an Apoxie Sculpt-modified Stormtrooper helmet. The piece was originally scheduled to exhibit in a Stormtrooper show earlier this month, but due to a limited shipping window, Wong decided not rush the artwork and withdrew from the show.

The one-off custom was available beginning Friday Dec. 18th at his webshop, but has since been sold.

Patrick Wong's New "Burner" Fatcap Commissions

Canadian artist Patrick Wong shares his latest custom toys titled "Burner" in 3" and 6". Both of the fiery creations are produced on the Kidrobot Fatcap platform and commissioned by a Canadian collector.

The "Burner" is taken from the graffiti term to describe a well-done and elaborate piece. Using this idea, Wong takes the Fatcap vinyl and illustratively sets it ablaze against a backdrop of a city. Similar to the way the South Bronx burned in the 1970s.

The 6" version of the "Burner" Fatcap is complemented by an accessory gas can with the character's name and "danger" written along the side.

Based on an original design by Wong, "Burner" is the fourth 6" Fatcap produced after creating pieces with themes of freezing, paint mixing, and corrosion.

Frank Kozik Interviewed on The Blind Box Podcast

I don't usually listen to podcasts but this one I made an exception for: there's podcast called "The Blind Box" which is sort of a mystery podcast- same hosts each time but different guests and topics. Fortunately for us, one of the hosts is into designer toys, so he is familiar with our scene and likes to discuss it. In Episode 92, Frank Kozik is the guest. Frank discusses in quite a bit of detail his plan for Kidrobot, how things are moving along, plans for future releases, product mix, etc etc. All the juicy stuff you wanna hear about. Give it a listen, if you're on a Mac or iPhone you can click right through to iTunes here, otherwise you can just listen to it right here on their website.

Here's their synopsis of the Kozik segment:
Kid Robot Fan? This is for you. Episode 92 we have a very special guest.  Frank Kozik, Kid Robot's Creative Director & long time artist stops by to talk about the future of KR. Frank talks about his current position, the myth of "Kid Robot Vs. Funko", & a whole slew of new products on the way from the new & improved Kid Robot team.  We talk why licensing seems to work for multiple reasons, if we should be looking out for the return of Kid Robot stores in your city, as well as Bob Burgers, Home Movies & price drops in the near future.  Frank also takes some time to talk Clockwork Orange, Labbits being inspired by Hello Kitty! & running a record label in the 90's.  Seriously, if you're a fan of past or present Kid Robot, you need to hear what they have planned for the future.

Star Wars AT-AT Cornhole Game

Just when you thought you have seen it all... you were wrong.

A few years ago I laughed my ass off when I learned that there is indeed an actual game that people still play, called "Cornhole". Hilarious implications aside, this is completely non-tech, non-electronic actual game that you play with the meat sausages located at the end of the meat tentacles that attach to your shoulders.

I know- crazy, right?

Basically you stand far away from the Cornhole board and toss a bean bag at it and try to get the bean bag in the hole. Cornhole. That's literally what it's called. Pretty simple.

This site has a shit-ton of awesome, LICENSED Star Wars Cornhole games - my favorite is pictured above, with the AT-ATs. They're $200 (each board is pretty large) and there are other options, like Darth Vader, Chewie, Han in Carbonite, TWO Boba Fetts, Obi Wan, Luke, Palpatine, Leia, R2 and C3PO, and many more. Like, they really RAN with this license, big time.

    Product Features:
  • Officially Licensed Star Wars™ Product
  • ACA Regulation Size 24 inches by 48 inches
  • Tournament Grade Construction
  • Includes Bag Set & Folding Legs
  • Fully Assembled & Made in the USA
You can even buy replacement corn bags like these pictured to the right:

My nephews are around 10 years old and they have iPods, email addresses and they knew what a wi-fi password was when they were 5, so they are pretty much fully indoctrinated into the tech age. But I bet we'd all still have a blast playing Star Wars Cornhole in the backyard.

I'm so sick of electronic devices. Buy American! Cornhole!

Or.... pick something up for your office Secret Santa and keep your coworkers guessing...

2. For the loser in your life (just kidding, even the cool kids
love coarse toys!): Coarse Omen Keychains

Usually, keychains are extremely irritating objects- they are sharp, and poke you as you fumble to unlock your apartment door as your weird ass neighbor breathes down your neck.

At least with a coarse silicone rubber keychain, your pockets won't get holes poked in them Ever try to attach a small knife to your keychain?

I always cut my damn leg open.
$9.95, available in 3 colors, click here.

3. For the Japanophile in your life: Touma Pico Mao or Pico Hitch 1" mini figures

Super low cost, super small stocking stuffers, perfect for anyone that loves Japanese design, these cute-as-balls Touma mini figures are extremely limited (around 50 of each) in special rolling color variants that are released periodically. Pictured are the "Photon" color variants.

$15.00 each, 2 styles available, click here.

4. For the bricklayer in your life who already has all the sets: Jason Freeny Micro Anatomic mini figures by Mighty Jaxx

Everything is awesome when you give one of the Micro Anatomic figures to every person on your list! Why? Because they ain't never seen no brick dude shit like this before! That's cuz it's not available in TRU or wherever else you may shop.

Featuring Freeny's signature bones n guts treatment, these items are a bit larger than the standard mini figures at 3" tall.

$20 each, 3 colors available, click here.

5. For the monster child in your life: The Inner Child Blue by Nerviswr3k

Let's face it... some kids are just born insane. Little monsters... and usually they grow up to be big ole babies, and they still act like monsters sometimes. What do you get for a person like that? A little sculpture of a kid wearing a monster suit, naturally.

This is our Exclusive color because we are awesome.

$45, click here.

6. Hang in there: Felipe figure by Juan Muniz

For the person in your life who might have received the "Hang in There" kitten poster as a gift from a concerned aunt in the 80s, but is now all grown up and still trying not to grenade their own life with poor decisions, binging and regrettable sexual escapades... that person needs a Felipe to look at every morning.

A reminder not to drop the pin like a dumbass dipshit. People like that need daily reminders, trust me. They will thank you.

$55, click here.

7. For the graffiti groupie in your life: Holybrikus figure by MIST

When you absolutely, positively gotta impress every motherfucker in the room, accept no substitute! Place this gargantuan hunk of legit graffiti-inspired vinyl on a pedestal in the middle of the living room and watch all the wannabees discuss the rise and fall of graffiti and street art like they fucking know something. Hilarious.

We're offering this item at a special price which is probably too little for a figure that's 16 fucking inches wide.

$100, click here.

8. When you wanna hear them say your name: Breaking Bad Heisenberg 1:6-scale action figure by Three Zero

You probably know someone who has watched every episode of Breaking Bad like a meth-addicted couch monkey. Shit, even my Dad loves Breaking Bad. And Cheech and Chong. And the dude is straight as an arrow. Super weird. Anyway, that person can't really FEEEEEL the series till they touch a perfect, tiny porkpie hat and a bunch of perfect tiny stacks of Benjamins, and just wait till we get the Jesse Pinkman figures in! For now, your little Baddie will have to have Walter White standing alone on the shelf. He's OK standing alone, he's a bad ass.

$150, click here.

9. When you gotta buy something legit for your wife/husband: coarse toys Permanent Guest: Delusion set

This thing would seriously take an entire roll of wrapping paper to cover the whole thing. I think it weighs 7 pounds. This is the ultimate in fine art - meets lowbrow art: in theory, this is an "art toy" set but you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who collects art "toys" that considers this coarse set a toy. Shit ain't a toy, it's just art.

Made in limited numbers and packaged with such care that I routinely get my ass kicked on the shipping when I sell these, simply because no matter how HUGE I assume these coarse pieces are, when they arrive, they are always bigger. This piece is goddamn gorgeous and if you can afford to spend $200 on art, it's a no-brainer purchase.

$200, one left in stock, click here.

10. For the super Star Wars superfan in your life: Shogun Boba Fett 24-inch figure by Super7 x Funko

A toy so fucking big and so fucking hot that it took TWO companies to create it!

Old-skool Japanese robot fans either love this thing or hate it because it bastardizes and mashes up two of their favorite childhood themes: Star Wars and vintage Japanese robot toys. This thing has wheels on its feet, it'll fire a fist at your face and launch rockets from its jetpack. It's fucking nuts. This is an absolute guaranteed freak-out and scream gift.

Trying to gauge if this is the right gift? If you are with someone who has pre-purchased tickets to the next Star Wars film and will be seeing it on opening day, this is the correct gift choice.

$200, one left in stock, click here.

ALL ITEMS ON THIS LIST ARE IN STOCK AND READY TO SHIP IMMEDIATELY!

Introducing Yuna, the First Character in the Dream Big Friends Doll Line

The Kickstarter to fund the production of Yuna, the first character in the expansive Dream Big Friends line of positive, encouraging dolls, is well on its way! Click here to back the Kickstarter - you can order the 10", fully articulated Yuna plus her kitty Kamata for just $40 + shipping!

We (Klim, David and I) just got back from DCon where we revealed the Yuna prototypes to the public for the first time. It was a ton of fun and we had 100% super positive feedback - people LOVE her! Below is David creating the Yuna Inception photo apparently.

Dream Big Friends is a doll line concept developed by David Horvath and Sun Min (Uglydoll creators) and Klim Kozinevich (Bigshot Toyworks creative lead) that fills a gap in the market for dolls which are fully encouraging of imagination, with positive messages and cute, approachable design.

For instance: Yuna loves science and rockets. She wants to own her own rocket company and fly to Mars, where she will be the first person to walk on the Red Planet! She loves K-pop music and hanging out at Giant Robot (dig the shirt!). She has a cat named Kamata and likes wearing funky socks, and her big red coat is her favorite piece of clothing. The idea is to make Yuna, and all of the Dream Big Friends characters, as real as possible, with unique and distinct qualities that makes them all special. By showing how different and special each character is, Dream Big Friends hopes to encourage both girls and boys to celebrate that which makes each of them special.

David, Sun Min and Klim have big plans to release more characters of all different backgrounds, ethnicities and yes, boy characters in addition to the girls. The first step is getting the Yuna Kickstarter funded, and everything will take off from there. Back the Yuna Kickstarter now, and check out the intro video below:

As an aside, I should mention that I (Benny) am managing the Yuna Kickstarter for Bigshot Toyworks, like I did for the Maddies and the Four Horsies previously. Hope you can support us and get a pledge in! We even have smaller rewards for $5, $10 or $20 in case you want to back it but can't afford the $40:

Yuna measures 10" tall and she is a fully articulated doll with real clothing. Dream Big Friends dolls will be safety tested for kids.

Krang's Android LEGO Body - Custom TMNT LEGO Figures!

These figures are limited to 10 pieces, and will not be produced again. Each figure is a unique hand-made art toy. Recommended for adult collectors ONLY, not meant for play.
Created for the Boss Krang art & toy show at Acme Superstore in Florida earlier this year, This minifigure revisits the classic cartoon styling for Krang & his Android Body.
Each figure contains original lego parts, each sourced for its unique color (my goodness flesh colored parts are in short supply!), as well as two resin cast parts. The cast parts include the head antenna (cast from an original lego part in a color not available), and the hand-held communicator (custom sculpted & cast).
Each communicator has a different image of shredder taken directly from the animated series, and each is cast in a slightly different color to accurately mimic the communicator's color changes throughout the series (and often within each episode/scene).
All graphics were created & printed onto water-slide decal paper, then applied to each figure. Each figure also has hand-painted accents (the lines on the legs, etc.).
Each figure comes in a bubble case, punched for hanging, with hand cut & folded inserts (which depicts the interior of the Technodrome).
