Patrick Wong's MPC60 resin figure!

"The Akai MPC60 is so iconic, it made the perfect jump-off point for this series. I want to make a genealogy of samplers from the late 80s to 2000s such as the SP1200 and Maschine, marking an evolution of both in technology and music. So much of the music I grew up with was produced on these machines and that why I have dubbed the series: The machines that made a sound of a generation."
Shipping on Friday (March 14th) is this Patrick Wong, 3" figure resin titled "MPC60" (after the legendary sampling drum machine of the same name). Priced at $35 plus shipping, they are limited to 30 pieces and come with a numbered card. This is the first release in a series of beat machines, which aims to highlight the classic Roger Linn designed Akai MPC60 12bit sampling drum machine first released in 1988.

Due for release this month in Japan (June for U.S.) this section of Bandai has pulled out all the stops to bring you this super-detailed and expertly sculpted Super Mario playset.
Mario is surprisingly pose-able and the set comes with enough accessories, stands and back-grounds to bring your 2d gaming experience to real life!

SHFigurearts Mario Booth from Winter Toy Fair 2014 in the UK

(The Bandai official release video for the Mario set is short but enthralling.)

We can only hope that this historic first means that more characters and sets will soon follow, who do you hope to see in the next set? Luigi? Bowser? Peach?
