The next show at Giant Robot's gallery, GR2, is called Printed Matter. The show is based around the creation of multiples, both in 3D and 2D. In most respects, society owes a lot to the technology behind the original printing press, which allowed the rapid creation of multiples, with regards to Printed Matter. Whether or not this show has anything to do with this thought, I imagine that there will be lots of great art to be seen and purchased. The opening reception for this show is on Friday December 22nd from 6:30-10PM, with the actual show running from December 17th to January 9th, 2013. If you're in the LA area, head on down to GR2 and check it out.
A 3D example of multiples from Scott Wilkowski. Based on the Giant Robot Big Boss Robot, Scott Wilkowski once again applies his Infected resin theme to this great little piece.
Jeremyriad has created cool looking snow globes using the iconic Brutherford Ice Scream cone, in a Pine Cone colorway. Complete with snow and water, the cones have been weather proofed for long lasting enjoyment of the snow globe. They even come packaged in a festive red take-out container with a label for writing "To:" and "From". For $25 plus shipping, these are some very cool snow globes that would be great on any shelf, all year round. Unfortunately, if you are not in the US, these can't be shipped to you. As of this posting, there were only a few left, so hurry on over to Jeremyriad's store and snag one for yourself or as a gift for a special someone.
